“The Class of 2017 has worked hard to get to this day,” said Tina Littell, interim head of school at Texas Virtual Academy. “This is the first step in our graduates’ life journeys, and we can’t wait to see what great things they will accomplish.”

Francesca DeCraen is TXVA’s Class of 2017 valedictorian, and Morgan Flood is the salutatorian. Dr. Margaret Jorgensen, K12’s chief academic officer, will deliver remarks to the graduating class, and TXVA teachers and staff will be in attendance to recognize the students’ achievements.

The graduates report that they have been accepted to colleges and universities across the country, including Academy of Art University, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Berklee College of Music, Brigham Young University-Idaho, Clarkson College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Georgia Southern University, Grinnell College, Huston-Tillotson University, Lamar University, LeNotre Culinary Institute, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Oklahoma Baptist University, Pace University, Prairie View A&M University, Sacramento State University, Sam Houston State University, Steven F.
