MetLife Names New Chief Human Resources Officer

MetLife, Inc. (NYSE:MET) announced today that it has named Susan Podlogar as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective July 10. She will be a member of the company’s Executive Group and report to Chairman, President and CEO Steven A. Kandarian.

“As a financial services company, our most valuable resource is our people,” Kandarian said. “With her extensive experience in building world-class teams, Susan will ensure that MetLife has the talent we need to execute on our ambitious enterprise strategy.”

Podlogar comes to MetLife from Johnson & Johnson, where she was Global Vice President of Human Resources for the company’s $21 billion Medical Devices business. Previously, she was Vice President for Global Total Rewards and Performance, responsible for managing the development and execution of worldwide compensation, benefits, health resources, performance strategies and organizational analytics.

Before joining J&J in 2003, Podlogar worked in human resources at Bayer Pharmaceuticals and Bristol Myers Squibb. She began her career in 1987 as a consultant with William M. Mercer, a global human resources consulting firm.

Vermilion Compass: Weekly Equity Strategy

S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 Testing Initial Support In last week's 2/25/25 Compass, we discussed our expectation for near-term downside as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) displayed several bearish short-term developments. We also said it likely means at least another 2-4 weeks of consolidation, and that if the S&P 500 remains below 6100 and 6150 resistances, do not be surprised if there is a test of the bottom of the range at either 5770-5850 or 5600-5670, where we would be buyers (though we need 5...

Vermilion Compass: Weekly Equity Strategy

SPX Testing Resistance as Rate Cut Cycle Begins The S&P 500 (SPX) is back to test YTD highs and important resistance in the 5670-5783 range. As long as the SPX does not have a weekly close above 57...
