Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHOS) opened its newest Sears Outlet Repair and Distribution Center (ORDC) on Monday at 400 E. Parr Blvd. in Reno.

Through multiple retail and manufacturer channels, Sears ORDCs receive gently-used and lightly-damaged major home appliances, lawn & garden products and fitness products. Certified technicians take the products through rigorous testing, and when needed, perform mechanical repairs, detailing and certain cosmetic repairs on the products. Then once tested, deluxed, and where necessary, refurbished, the product is then sent to a network of stores to be sold at discounted prices, while still covered by a limited warranty. The Reno Sears ORDC initially supports eight stores located in California, Idaho and Nevada.

The Company has immediate needs to fill 70 part-time and full-time positions, and will be hosting a job fair November 12-19 at the Holiday Inn Reno/Sparks at 55 Nugget Ave. in Sparks. Available positions include hourly supervisory roles, EPA certified appliance technicians, product movers, carton clamp operators, product cleaners and product testers.
