KRI: Trenching Identifies High-Priority Targets at Kotobi Project

What you need to know:
• Kobo reported multiple high-priority gold targets through its initial trenching program at its Kotobi Project in Côte d’Ivoire.
• Kotobi is 100%-owned and KRI’s secondary gold project spanning 302km2.
• The Company plans to perform a mechanized trenching program to understand the geological controls at surface before drilling. This is expected to begin in early 2026.
• We remind readers that KRI plans to publish an inaugural resource estimate at Kossou in Q1/26.

This morning, Kobo Resources (KRI:TSXV) announced initial trenching results from its first phase grassroots exploration program at its 100%-owned Kotobi License. As a reminder, Kotobi is Kobo’s secondary gold project in Central-East Côte d’Ivoire and spans 302km2. The project has seen limited exploration as KRI has focused mainly on advancing Kossou, but initial soil sampling and a UAV magnetic survey found strong targets which have been followed up on in today’s release.

Today’s results were successful in defining a pipeline of high-priority targets from the trenching campaign. The results of this program outlined four well-defined geochemical anomalies with gold-in-soil concentrations exceeding 500 ppb Au along significant strike lengths. The follow-up trench results at the Kotobi 1 Target area suggest that the geochemical anomalies have a bedrock source which contains high-grade gold. We are pleased with these initial results, and it gives us confidence that KRI can not only cost-effectively and systematically derive priority targets across its expansive land packages, but also that the results show promise of strong gold mineralization. We are maintaining our BUY rating and increasing our target price to $0.60/share (previously $0.55/share) on KRI.

Trench Intersection Highlights from Kotobi 1 Target:
• KTR014: 1.30 g/t Au over 9m, including 2.68 g/t Au over 4m, and including 9.64 g/t Au over 1m.
• KTR016: 0.88 g/t Au over 18m, including 3.10 g/t Au over 4m, and including 10.20 g/t Au over 1m.
