Nathan Blain Joins Korn Ferry as Senior Client Partner and Global Leader for Talent Strategy and Work Design Solutions

Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY) today announced that Nathan Blain has joined the firm as Senior Client Partner and Global Leader for Talent Strategy and Work Design Solutions for the Korn Ferry Hay Group division of the business. He will be based in Korn Ferry’s Washington, D.C. office.

Mr. Blain joins Korn Ferry from Gartner (formerly CEB) where he founded and led the company’s professional services business. Prior to Gartner, Mr. Blain was a partner at Oliver Wyman (formerly Mercer Management Consulting). His work there focused on corporate strategy in the wireless communications industry. His clients included leading network operators, equipment providers, device manufacturers, software developers, and investors. He has also worked at PwC and as an aide to two members of Congress on Capitol Hill.

“Nathan brings more than 25 years of experience working with large clients across multiple industry sectors including life sciences, technology, and industrials,” said Jean-Marc Laouchez, Senior Partner, Global Managing Director Strategy and Solutions, Korn Ferry Hay Group. “His work has focused on helping clients to execute business strategy through active management of talent capacity, skills and behaviors. His focus on measurable client impact has enabled Nathan to build a series of high-growth professional services businesses. We are delighted he has joined our team.”

With a background in corporate strategy, Mr. Blain has spent the last 15 years helping client companies to design and deliver the talent strategies and tactics required to execute on business priorities. He has worked closely with human resource executives to build the capability their function’s need to drive enterprise talent initiatives. In this new role, Mr. Blain will be responsible for driving continued growth of Korn Ferry’s talent strategy services.

Mr. Blain earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University. He is an adjunct professor in the Master of Business Administration program at Georgetown University, where he has taught a business strategy course since 2011.
