ON Semiconductor Appoints Osamu Takiguchi to Lead the Japan Sales and Marketing Organization

ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ON), driving energy efficient innovations, announced that Osamu Takiguchi joins the company as president and representative director of ON Semiconductor Japan, Ltd. to lead and manage the sales and marketing operations in Japan. Takiguchi is also concurrently serving as the corporate vice president of Japan regional sales in order to expand its Japan business and align with corporate strategies in key markets.

“Takiguchi brings more than 30 years of semiconductor industry experience to our company in design engineering and sales. He is effective in engaging in the global marketplace and will further strengthen our footprint in Japan with our valued customers,” said Paul Rolls, executive vice president sales and marketing for ON Semiconductor. “Takiguchi will be integral to our strategy in Japan and will further drive total solutions in our focus markets of automotive and industrial.”

The company has invested in the Japan market and the investment in Japan has played an important role in driving the company’s global strategy focusing on automotive, industrial, IoT and power conversion and motor control segments. The investment includes design centers for product development, manufacturing facilities, a solution engineering center and fault analysis capability in Japan to establish a reliable environment for its Japanese customers base.
