Equinor (Buy, TP: NOK525.00) - Running wild
As European gas prices continue to soar, we reiterate our BUY and have raised our target price to NOK525 (400) given Equinor’s significant strengthening of near-term FCF. With USD87bn organic FCF in 2022–2023e, we see its net cash position approaching ~45% of market capitalisation next year, despite USD13bn in shareholder distributions this year, implying an already-decent ~10% total yield. Overall, we see significant upside potential to run-rate dividends and buybacks, in addition to an extraordinary payout during such exceptional times.Equinor is engaged in oil and gas exploration and production activities. Co. is primarily focused on exploration, development and production of oil and gas on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS). Co.'s operations are organized into four segments. The Development and Production Norway and Development and Production International segments explore, develop, produce and extract crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. The Marketing, Processing and Renewable Energy segment markets, trades, transports and processes oil and natural gas and renewable energy. The Other segment consists of global well and project delivery, research and develpoment, and business development.
