The Real Good Food Company PLC PLC Global sugar market trends: EU reforms trigger Real Good Food Company to leap ahead

We are confident we have found a winner from a major legislative change in the
€11bn European sugar market. Independent sugar distributor, Napier Brown
(wholly owned by Real Good Food Company (RGD)), is gaining market share. We
anticipate a doubling of its volumes in the coming years in an environment of
volatile, cyclical prices. A combination of the 2017 ending of the EU sugar quota
regime (well ahead of which market shares should dramatically free up) and a
tie-in with Omnicane, a quality, low cost Mauritian sugar cane refiner, should
significantly boost Napier BrownÂ’s profits from historic levels. Omnicane is a
24% shareholder in RGD.

Real Good Food operates in three markets, being cake decoration, food ingredients and premium bakery. Co.'s cake decoration division manufactures, sells and supplies cake decorating products and ingredients through its Renshaw, Renshaw Europe, Renshaw Americas, and Rainbow Dust Colours units. Co.'s food ingredients division manufactures and supplies a range of food ingredients from bagged sugar and dairy powders to chocolate coatings and jams through its units: R&W Scott, Garrett Ingredients, and Brighter Foods. Co.'s premium bakery division manufactures and supplies cakes and desserts to the retail and foodservice sectors through its business units Haydens, and Chantilly Patisserie.
