Adtran’s 3Q in Line with Expectations, But Revenue Guidance Disappoints; Maintain $19 FVE
Adtran reported third-quarter results largely in line with our expectations, although a positive surprise on the gross margin side arose due to a solid contribution from domestic business and a favorable mix in the services segment. However, the company guided for worse-than-usual seasonality in the next quarter. We are not surprised by such fluctuations as Adtran is helping a number of large telcos to upgrade their access networks, which implies a degree of lumpiness in results.
