Attractive regulated growth opportunities should produce attractive dividend growth for AEP.

We are reaffirming our $61 per share fair value estimate, narrow economic moat, and stable moat trend ratings after American Electric Power reported second-quarter operating earnings of $0.95 per share compared with $0.88 in the year-ago period. Management reaffirmed 2016 guidance of $3.60-$3.80, in line with our $3.72 estimate.
Ohio's tortuous transition to a deregulated market continues to distract investors from AEP's improvement in its regulated operation and attractive growth opportunities...
