ALE Property Group is considered a defensive investment considering its secure medium-term earnings.

We continue to view an investment in narrow moat-rated ALE Property Group as one that is "bond-like" in nature. This is due to the group’s relatively long-weighted average lease expiry of about 12 years, and with ALH Group, a major corporate, as its tenant. At current prices, securities in ALE trade at a 10% discount to our unchanged AUD 4.80 fair value estimate and offer an estimated distribution yield of 4.7% in fiscal 2017.
