BlackRock Bets on Technology to Fix Active Equity Operations; No Change to $410 FVE
We were not too surprised to see wide-moat-rated BlackRock shake things up in its active equity operations, which the firm has been trying to get back on track since 2012, with little to show for its efforts. While the decision to move $30 billion of the $275 billion in assets under management the company had invested in active equity strategies at the end of 2016 into more quantitative strategies will lead to the loss of $30 million in annual revenue, that's out of an expected $12 billion-$14 b...BlackRock is an investment management firm.
