Illumina’s NovaSeq Announcement Helps Retain Dominance in High-Throughput Sequencing

Illumina has announced several positive developments that should maintain the company's strong growth trajectory, but we don’t anticipate any major change to our fair value estimate at this time. Management expects 10%-12% revenue growth and adjusted EPS of $3.60-$3.70 in 2017, which is relatively close to our forecast. These announcements still give us confidence in Illumina’s ability to drive innovation in the genome sequencing market and maintain its narrow economic moat.
