Norsk Hydro shares traded higher after the Jan. 15 news that SEMAS, a local government agency in Brazil, had lifted production limitations at the company's Alunorte alumina refinery. The sanctions had been in place for nearly a year (since late-February) due to environmental concerns, but SEMAS now believes that the facility will be able to operate safely going forward.
