Wide-moat Northern Trust reported excellent first-quarter results that were ahead of our expectations for the firm. We are increasing our fair value estimate to $88 per share from $82 per share to reflect this, which is 2.3 times book value as of March and 14.2 times our 2018 earnings estimate.
