METALS WEEKLY: Indian long steel prices a tad down; NMDC cuts iron ore prices

Indian steel: Long product (TMT Mumbai) prices were ~1% lower WoW. Sponge iron prices were ~2% lower WoW. Scrap prices decreased ~3% WoW. NMDC cut prices of iron ore fines, lowering it ~7% WoW. Pellet prices remained unchanged. Domestic HRC prices remained were flat WoW. Export price offers were unchanged.
Raw materials: Iron ore prices (China CFR) declined ~3% WoW. Thermal coal prices declined ~2% WoW. Coking coal prices were ~1% lower WoW. China's pellet import prices decreased ~1% WoW. Chinese graphite electrode prices declined ~3% WoW.
Europe: CIS HRC export prices were ~1% lower WoW.
China steel prices: Chinese HRC and rebar prices were lower by ~2%. Export prices for HRC were ~1% lower.
Base metals: Aluminum (cash LME) was ~1% lower WoW. Copper (cash LME) decreased ~1% WoW. Zinc (cash LME) was flat WoW. Lead (cash LME) increased ~2% WoW. Brent crude prices were up ~1% WoW.
