High-frequency infographic for France: no panic at the moment

Activity: our growth and consumption trackers have reported a slowdown in recent weeks, particularly with regard to household consumption linked to the rise in inflation. Health situation : the situation appears to be under control with a very moderate increase in hospitalizations for the time being. Health restrictions have been significantly eased in recent weeks, further away from the pre-crisis health situation. Mobility : mobility has in fact normalised at the national level, but remains slightly down in the Île de France region. The more systematic use of teleworking partly explains this development. Concerns of the French : the environment and purchasing power are far ahead of the Covid epidemic. The war in Ukraine seems to worry the French less than two weeks ago. Interest in the presidential election has woken up. Inflation/commodities : fuel prices fell by an average of 20 cents over one week. Cereal prices are peaking except for wheat, down 7% from the peak reached on 23 March.
