The uncertainties of the post-COVID economy

In OECD countries, important characteristics of the post-COVID economy are still uncertain: Will demand and production normalise in some of the sectors hit hard by the crisis in the short term: tourism, air transport and therefore aerospace, hotels and restaurants, etc.? Is the crisis Schumpeterian or will it instead destroy potential growth? To be sure, there is digitalisation of the economy, but on the other hand productive and human capital has been destroyed. How will governments respond to the increase in wealth inequality that is result ing from the expansionary monetary policies and rising asset prices?
