NSR Policy: FCC Releases Proposed Title II/Net Neutrality Order

Monday, we published a preview of the FCC’s upcoming order on classification and net neutrality (which we refer to as NN7, to honor the six previous iterations or FCC orders addressing the same issues). We suggested the NN7 Order was likely to be made public on Thursday and voted on April 25. Both of those proved true. In this note, we provide a quick reaction on the language in the 425 page order related to the issues we thought most relevant to investors.[1] For the most part, we think the order was in line with our expectations and largely—though not completely consistent with the Wheeler Commission 2015 order.
