Aixtron is a provider of deposition equipment to the semiconductor industry. Co.'s technology solutions are used by customers to build components for electronic and opto-electronic applications based on compound, silicon, or organic semiconductor materials. The components are used in displays, signaling, lighting, fiber optic communication systems, wireless and mobile telephony applications, optical and electronic storage devices, computing, as well and other technologies. Co. supplies to customers both full production-scale chemical vapor deposition systems and small scale systems for research and development use.

Daimler provides a range of transportation products, including passenger cars and commercial vehicles, and also financial services. Co. operates in five segments. Mercedes-Benz Cars sells passenger cars and off-road vehicles under the Mercedes-Benz brand and small cars under the smart brand. The Daimler Trucks distributes its trucks (Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, FUSO, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses and BharatBenz). Deutz is the parent company of DEUTZ Group, and is engaged as an independent manufacturer of compact diesel engines for both on and off-road use. Co. develops, designs, produces and sells diesel engines that are cooled by water, oil or air. Co.'s operating activities are divided into: the DEUTZ Compact Engines segment, which comprises liquid-cooled engines with capacities of up to eight litres; and the DEUTZ Customised Solutions segment, which focuses on air-cooled engines and large liquid-cooled engines with capacities of more than eight litres, and also supplies reconditioned parts and engines. Co. also repairs, maintains and services vehicles and machines fitted with DEUTZ engines.

K+S is engaged in the chemical sector. Co. has three business segments. The Potash and Magnesium Products segment combines the production and marketing of potash fertilizers and fertilizer specialities as well as potash and magnesium compounds for technical, industrial and pharmaceutical applications. The Salt segment encompasses the production and marketing of food grade salt, industrial salt and salt for chemical use, de-icing salt and sodium chloride brine. Co.'s business activities comprises of 12 brands, which provide solutions for architects, structural designers, and civil and specialist engineers as well as software for cost and schedule planning, tenders, awarding of contracts, invoicing, and execution of building work. There are also solutions for technical facility management and commercial property management as well as for architecture, film, animation and advertising visualization software. Co. organizes its operations into four segments: Design, Build, Manage and Multimedia.
