SES : Winners and losers in space revolution 2025-30

We believe that by 2030 LEO constellations, of which Starlink is the undisputed leader with 250 resellers, should take 80-100% of the aviation market (dominated by Viasat, Intelsat/SES), 50-80% of commercial maritime (Intelsat, Viasat) and cruise (SES), 30-40% of government services (Viasat, SES/Intelsat, Eutelsat). Only a saturation of LEO capacity could halt this trend, but Kuiper, Starship/Starlink v3 and China will revolutionise capacity and performance in 2025-26. Conversely, the revival of mobile satellite services is unlikely to have an impact on the telecoms sector.
