CIS Market Daily - September 23, 2019

MARKET COMMENT - CENTRAL BANKS, US ELECTION, BREXIT SAGA AND UN ON THE AGENDA THIS WEEKThe RTS lost less than one point on Friday to reach 1,377. The MSCI EM gained 0.5% thanks mostly to select Asian heavyweights. Negative but hardly material US/China headlines dragged on markets later on Friday. Attempts to walk back the concerns by Chinese officials over the weekend have not stopped most APAC markets from falling today, led by Shanghai. A wide range of central bank speeches and releases, September PMIs, the latest US political scandals regarding the FSU, Brexit developments and the UN General Debate are among the events most likely to generate market-relevant headlines this week.STORIES> Chief Economist's View: What to expect from 2020-22 budget> Rusagro to conduct SPO> Global Ports 1H19 IFRS: Weaker east, stronger west> Aeroflot August results: Strong for Pobeda, below average elsewhere
