CDB Aviation Lease Finance Increases Global Footprint With New Executive Appointments

CDB Aviation Lease Finance (“CDB Aviation”), a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited (“CDB Leasing”), announced today two new executive appointments: Lucas Mollan as Chief Technical Officer and Peter Goodman as Head of EMEA. Leveraging their extensive expertise and involvement across a variety of industries, the new executives significantly strengthen the CDB Aviation leadership team and will play a key role in driving the aggressive growth of the company’s global footprint, focusing on bolstering its fleet and further advancing its global market presence.

Lucas Mollan will be appointed CDB Aviation’s Chief Technical Officer and he is expected to start with CDB Aviation at the end of May 2017. Mr. Mollan has an extensive background in aircraft leasing, MRO and airline operations. As a member of the original Avolon Aerospace Leasing leadership team, Mr. Mollan was instrumental in taking the lessor from start-up in 2010 to third largest Lessor in the world in 2017. Prior to Avolon, he served as Managing Director, Thomas Cook Aircraft Engineering and Engineering Director, Thomas Cook Airlines UK. During his career, Mr. Mollan has served in various technical and engineering executive capacities at MyTravel Aircraft Engineering, MyTravel Airways, JMC Airlines, Flying Colours Airlines and Air 2000.

Peter Goodman will be appointed CDB Aviation’s Head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”), and he is expected to start with CDB Aviation in May 2017. Mr. Goodman has over three decades of experience in the aircraft leasing and airline industries. Most recently, he held a number of senior executive positions in Leasing, Sales and Marketing with BOC Aviation. During his aviation career, Mr. Goodman has also held senior roles in the marketing division, technical division and has held Board positions in various companies including ORIX, Pembroke, GECAS, Guinness Peat Aviation (“GPA”), where he has also managed marketing/sales and technical teams. Mr. Goodman started his career in aviation with Aer Lingus.
