Indiana Digital Learning School Now Enrolling for the 2018-2019 School Year

Indiana Digital Learning School (INDLS), an online school program of Union School Corporation, is now accepting enrollment applications for the 2018-2019 school year. An online public school available to students statewide, INDLS is adding 11th grade this upcoming school year. INDLS will expand again to offer grades K-12 for the 2019-2020 school year.

Entering its second year of operation, INDLS students access a robust online curriculum. They attend live virtual classes taught by Indiana-licensed teachers who communicate regularly via email, phone and in one-to-one online meetings. Students are offered a full course load in the core subjects of math, science, language arts, history, art and music, as well as a variety of electives.

Beginning in high school, INDLS students will have the opportunity to take Career Technical Education (CTE) courses through the school’s Destinations program. CTE introduces students to specialty trade skills through online courses in business and information technology, allowing them to explore their interests and get a head start on future career opportunities.

“At INDLS, we are giving Indiana families an exciting education option,” says Head of School Elizabeth Sliger. “With our diverse course offerings, including classes that offer an introduction to future career opportunities, students can pursue their academic goals and prepare for life after high school.”

Students choose online school for a variety of reasons, including advanced learning, a bullying-free environment, and the ability to support extracurricular pursuits or medical needs. Outside of the virtual classroom, INDLS offers online student clubs and in-person field trips and social gatherings to foster a sense of school community.

Enrollment is now open for the 2018-2019 school year. Students and families are encouraged to attend an online or in-person information session hosted by the school. More information on INDLS, how to enroll, and a schedule of upcoming events can be found at indls.k12.com.
