Insight Academy of Arizona to Celebrate 2017 Graduation

On Thursday, May 25, more than 100 online school students from Insight Academy of Arizona (ISAZ) will gather for an in-person graduation ceremony at the Sheraton Crescent Hotel in Phoenix.

An accredited online public school for students statewide, ISAZ’s comprehensive education approach focuses on providing struggling students with the academic, social and emotional support needed to reach graduation. Using a combination of web-based lessons, live online learning sessions and support from state-certified teachers and counselors, the school creates a unique educational experience for each student that helps to ensure their success after high school.

Owen Hatch is the ISAZ Class of 2017 valedictorian, and Terry Danielson is the salutatorian. Brandi Maynard, Ph.D., from K12 Inc.’s leadership development team will deliver remarks to the graduating class, and ISAZ teachers and staff will be in attendance to recognize the students’ achievements.

“Graduation is my favorite time of year,” said Kelly Van Sande, head of school at Insight Academy of Arizona. “It is so special to celebrate our students’ amazing achievements. These students are proof that education is not a one-size-fits-all approach.”

ISAZ graduates have reported that they will attend numerous colleges and universities, including Arizona State University, Central Arizona College, Cochise College, Academy of Art University, Le Cordon Bleu, Northern Arizona University, Snow College and University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

Media are welcome at this event. Details are as follows:
