Insight School of Michigan (ISMI), a tuition-free, online public charter school, welcomes families with students in grades 6-12 who reside in Michigan to enroll for the 2017-18 academic year. Entering its third school year, ISMI offers an individualized approach to learning and an education option for students of every ability level, including a competency in helping students who are struggling academically.

Each ISMI student receives an individualized learning plan (ILP) that takes each child’s unique strengths, weaknesses, learning styles and aptitudes into consideration. Each student’s ILP plans out a long-term, personalized learning strategy through a collaborative team effort between the student, parent, teachers, guidance counselor, and advisor. Then, through the unique platform, ISMI teachers provide instruction, guidance and support, interacting with students and parents via email, telephone and web-based classrooms.

A credit recovery program is available for students who need to catch up in certain subjects, as well as highly targeted remediation sessions to build specific skills. With a unique and highly supportive approach, ISMI works with students and their families to help them overcome obstacles, including learning or behavioral issues, bullying, family challenges or changes in lifestyle.
