MANISTEE, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Michigan Great Lakes Virtual Academy (MGLVA), an accredited, full-time online public charter school serving students in grades K through 12, will celebrate the Class of 2017 at a graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 3rd.
The ceremony will honor MGLVA’s fourth graduating class and largest to date with 123 graduates, including 22 students who met graduation requirements earlier this year in January.
MGLVA graduates report earning more than $10,000 in scholarships and that they’ve been accepted to the following colleges and universities: Indiana Wesleyan University, University of Tennessee, Mott Community College, Rochester College, Oakland University, Baker College, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Western Michigan University and Lansing Community College.
MGLVA offers an individualized approach to learning, using engaging curriculum to ensure every student receives an exceptional learning experience. For students in grades K-8, online course offerings include language arts/English, math, science, history, art and music, as well as foreign languages. High school students enjoy a course catalog of more than 150 core, elective, Career Tech Education and Advanced Placement® courses. These courses meet the needs of the Michigan Merit Curriculum. Dual enrollment is also available, which allows students to earn college credit and high school credit for the same course.
