These clubs and honor organizations include but are not limited to National Honor Society, honor societies for Spanish, English, math, social studies and art, National Beta club, Book club, Junior Beta club, Writer’s Roundtable and Music.

The SCVCS dual credit program allows qualified high school students to earn college credits for select courses. Students can also enroll in career and technology courses that allow them to explore career areas such as Health Science, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Engineering Design, Hospitality and Tourism, Agriculture Science and more.

“Through our College and Career Guidance Model, we provide our students with a dedicated counselor who will help guide them through our broad range of career and technology-focused courses in order to gain a competitive edge for the future, discover their path after high school, or explore a possible college major,” said Cherry Daniel, head of school at South Carolina Virtual Charter School. “We believe that this focus on the future contributes greatly to the success of our graduates.”

Additionally, SCVCS is national AdvancED® accredited, which ensures parents and students greater ease in transferring credits and grades between schools within South Carolina and other states. Families can also gain greater access to student federal loans, scholarships, post-secondary education, and military programs that require students to attend an accredited school. The rigorous criteria to achieve the AdvancED® accreditation demonstrates that SCVCS is committed to, and is successful in, providing quality instruction, enhancing student achievement, recognizing student achievement, and encouraging professional growth.

SCVCS is now accepting enrollments for the 2017-2018 school year. Parents are encouraged to attend one of the online information sessions hosted by the school each month. More information on SCVCS and upcoming events can be found at http://scvcs.k12.com/.
