Kansas Virtual Academy (KSVA) serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school’s mission is to help students discover, develop and achieve their maximum learning potential, and the online environment allows students to work at their own pace within parameters.

Kansas students in grades 7-12, as well as adult learners, are welcome to attend Insight School of Kansas (ISKS). The school’s comprehensive education approach focuses on providing students with the academic, social and emotional support needed to succeed in school and beyond. ISKS serves middle and high school students of all abilities and also provides targeted support for struggling students. Qualified students can also take college-level courses and earn high school credit at the same time through concurrent enrollment. Adult students who have attended high school for five years or more without graduating have the chance to earn a high school diploma.

KSVA and ISKS serve families who seek alternatives to traditional brick-and-mortar education. Through live and recorded class sessions that are accessed online, students and their teachers can engage and interact as if they were sitting together in a traditional classroom. Students also complete schoolwork using hands-on educational materials that are shipped to their homes.

State-certified teachers provide instruction, guidance and support, interacting with students and families via email, web-based classrooms, online discussions, phone and face-to-face meetings. This ensures that students and their families feel supported yet challenged in their education in a way that may be different for every student.

During the enrollment period, both schools will be conducting online and in-person information sessions throughout the state. Interested families are encouraged to attend to meet teachers, staff and other families and to learn more about the award-winning curriculum provided by K12 Inc., the nation’s leading K-12 online curriculum provider.
