Wisconsin Virtual Academy Opens Enrollments for 2018-2019 School Year

Wisconsin Virtual Academy (WIVA), an online public charter school authorized by the McFarland School District, is now accepting enrollments for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. WIVA is available tuition-free to students in kindergarten through 12th grade who reside anywhere in the state of Wisconsin. Families can submit an application during the open enrollment window, which runs from Monday, Feb. 5 through 4 p.m. CST on Monday, April 30, 2018.

Delivered entirely online, WIVA offers students and families a high-quality education option. WIVA students access a robust online curriculum and attend live virtual classes taught by Wisconsin-licensed teachers. WIVA provides an approach to learning that helps prepare students for post-graduation college or career success.

WIVA offers students the support and resources needed to pursue and reach their academic goals. Advanced independent learners are able to progress at an accelerated pace, while those who find content and concepts more challenging will receive additional live instruction and support to ensure academic success.

Students are offered a full course load in the core subjects of math, science, language arts, history, art and music. Electives include world languages, as well as high school honors and Advanced Placement® courses. WIVA also offers virtual student clubs, field trips, social outings, and other activities to foster a sense of school community, including an annual prom and graduation ceremony.
