Kyocera Enters U.S. Cybersecurity Endpoint Management Market

, a world-leading manufacturer of industrial and consumer technology products, announced today that it has entered the U.S. cybersecurity endpoint management market. Through its group company, , Kyocera offers LanScope Cat, a unified endpoint management and security solution giving small businesses a simple, automated way to effectively manage and protect IT assets and workplace devices.

Interfocus’ LanScope Cat has been available in many markets internationally since 1990 and is deployed at more than 10,000 companies, protecting the digital data and assets of 8.6 million users while also ensuring their compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.

LanScope Cat integrates with an enterprise’s existing security information and event management (SIEM) solutions to aggregate valuable endpoint data and logs, as well as provide automation and centralized management of employee monitoring, IT asset management, device control and blocking, and malware investigation. For the first time in the U.S., LanScope Cat is available for a with no contracts.

“One of the greatest challenges companies face is protecting and managing large volumes of data and an increasing number of devices,” said Richard Stiennon, Founder and Chief Research Analyst at IT-Harvest, a cybersecurity advisory firm. “SIEM solutions effectively monitor risky network activity, but they often come with a high price tag and can be complex to deploy in an effective manner. Businesses, especially those with limited financial and human resources, ultimately need solutions that focus on user activity rather than content.”

“Introducing this solution from our international portfolio to the U.S. market is a significant step for Kyocera as we expand our offering in the Information and Communications Technology arena,” said Robert Whisler, President of Kyocera International, Inc. “LanScope Cat enables Kyocera to add a robust, affordable IT security technology to its wide-ranging solutions for IoT infrastructure, cloud, data center and network services, and ERP system integration services.”

“We have a complex ecosystem of employees and IT assets,” said Mitsuo Kawata, Manager of Panasonic Systems Solutions Japan Co. Ltd. “Since rolling out LanScope Cat, we have greater control over the access to and movement of our proprietary data, plus a more accurate picture of our internal security situation and compliance across the organization. This solution has enabled us to make more effective decisions in real time and helps our employees keep security issues top of mind.”

LanScope Cat centralizes and streamlines endpoint management by automatically taking inventory of all PCs, laptops, peripherals, and software licenses to provide visibility into how users interact with proprietary data. LanScope Cat alerts when events are discovered at the endpoint by integrating with Cylance’s CylancePROTECT™ solution. More information can be found at .
