KYOCERA to Exhibit Laser Packages, Electro-optic Technologies at SPIE Photonics West Show

Kyocera International, Inc. announced today that it will exhibit its latest optoelectronic products and technologies at The Moscone Center during the SPIE Photonics West trade show here through Feb.1, to support applications involving industrial laser cutting and marking, spectroscopy, laser-based medical procedures and optical data networks.

Kyocera will display its full line of microelectronic package products for semiconductor and laser devices — including a robust new industrial laser device package offering excellent thermal conductivity, hermetically sealed high-current leads, and a low coefficient of thermal expansion using cost-effective copper and ceramic materials, made and assembled in North America. Other Kyocera products on display will include image-sensor packages, lenses, electro-optic connector components and fiber-optic interconnect systems.

Kyocera has demonstrated leadership in optoelectronic components since the construction of the initial U.S. fiber network known as the “Information Superhighway.” Extensive success with U.S. patent grants during 2017 led Kyocera to be ranked No.31 in a list of the “World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies” published by USA Today on Jan. 12, 2018.

SPIE Photonics West is the world’s largest event showcasing photonics technologies, with three conferences and two exhibitions. Kyocera will be located in booth #4057.
