Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS) announced that its Colibri LTE chip provides the LTE connectivity for the new Verizon Ellipsis™ Jetpack®, an ultra compact mobile hotspot launching today on Verizon’s network.

The LTE chip inside Jetpack is the Sequans’ Colibri LTE Platform, a highly optimized LTE Category 4 (up to 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink throughput) chipset solution, and a member of Sequans’ StreamrichLTE family of products for broadband and high-performance IoT devices. Colibri comprises baseband and RF along with an integrated applications processor running Sequans’ carrier-proven LTE protocol stack, an IMS client, and a comprehensive software package for over-the-air device management and packet routing.
