- FinLab AG announces figures as of 30/06/2019

- Significant increase of operating EBT according to IFRS

Frankfurt am Main, 02/09/2019 - FinLab AG (ISIN: DE0001218063, WKN: 121806, Ticker: A7A.GR) announces its half year results as of 30/06/2019.

Positive IFRS results (EBT) of EUR 4.7 million were achieved in H1 2019 (H1 2018: EUR 2.0 million), resulting in a strong improvement of EUR 2.7 million over the same period in the previous year. This improvement in EBT can be attributed to the significant increase of financial result from EUR 0.9 million (H1 2018) to EUR 3.5 million (H1 2019). The increase is mainly due to write-ups of the FinTech portfolio of FinLab.

Overall results were slightly negative, totalling EUR -0.6 million for H1 2019 (H1 2018: EUR -7.3 million), due to the change in revaluation reserve of EUR -5.2 million. The negative results were caused exclusively by the (re)valuation of the shares held by FinLab AG in the listed company Heliad Equity Partners GmbH & Co. KGaA ("Heliad") at the closing exchange rate as of 30/06/2019 of EUR 3,61 per share.

Due to the result of the (re)valuation of the shares in the listed company Heliad, NAV was reduced to EUR 20.21 per share at the end of the first half of 2019 (31/12/2018: EUR 20.44/share). With equity of EUR 106.0 million (31/12/2018: EUR 106.3 million) and an equity ratio above 98%, FinLab continues to show a strong balance sheet without external debt.

FinLab again achieved positive results of for the reporting period according to German HGB accounting standards. Results increased to EUR 1.7 million form EUR 1.3 million in the previous year. This represents an improvement of EUR 0.4 million over the same period in the previous year.
