Bitcoin Group SE receives BaFin approval for its participation in Sineus Financial Services GmbH

- Approval granted for participation in financial services provider by Bitcoin Group

- Expansion of service portfolio progressing as planned

Herford, October 04, 2018 - Bitcoin Group SE (ISIN DE000A1TNV91) has reached another important milestone in the expansion of its service portfolio. For the 50 % stake in the financial services provider Sineus Financial Services GmbH based in Melle, Lower Saxony, which was announced in January 2018, the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) has informed Bitcoin Group SE that for regulatory reasons there are no objections to the significant stake. Thus, the transaction can be carried out as advised.

The investment enables Bitcoin Group SE, which operates Germany's only regulated trading platform for crypto currencies with , to offer additional services within the framework of digital currencies.

The transaction provides us with a greater degree of entrepreneurial independence and greater flexibility with regard to our expansion strategy. Our goal remains to broaden our service portfolio and transform into a crypto currency exchange with a multilateral approach.
