ADTRAN®, Inc., (NASDAQ:ADTN), a leading provider of next-generation open networking solutions, today announced it will co-host the International Telecommunications Union’s Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Q4/15 Group Meeting this week with AT&T at ADTRAN’s headquarters in Huntsville, Ala., April 3-7, 2017. As a leader in broadband access technology, this is the latest venue where the company is lending its domain expertise to the industry. ADTRAN continues to be an integral member of the ITU-T and contributor to its work in shaping and driving telecom standards.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the ITU-T Q4/15 Group’s dedication to developing international standards for information and communication technologies. As ITU-T’s only study group focusing on copper access technology, it aims to cover the important standardizations on DSL technologies, such as G.fast and VDSL2. Attendees at this week’s meeting, including AT&T, British Telecommunications and Deutsche Telekom, will look to accelerate new G.fast features that achieve more symmetric service rates, higher service rates and adaptation for delay critical applications.
