PXT864 est une nouvelle combinaison synergique fixe à faible dose de baclofène et d’acamprosate administrée par voie orale deux fois par jour sous forme de gélules. PXT864 agit grâce à un nouveau mécanisme d’action qui cible un déséquilibre métabolique dans le cerveau de patients souffrant de maladies neurodégénératives. La maladie d’Alzheimer est l’indication thérapeutique la plus avancée pour PTX864. Des développements dans d’autres maladies neurodégénératives, dont la maladie de Parkinson et la sclérose latérale amyotrophique (SLA), sont également prévus.
