Apache Announces Appointment of Emily McClung as Vice President, Community Partnerships and Employee Engagement
HOUSTON, Sept. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Apache Corporation (NYSE, Nasdaq: APA) today announced Emily McClung has been named vice president, Community Partnerships and Employee Engagement, effective Sept. 1, 2018.

In this role, Emily will not only lead employee engagement, she will further weave corporate and individual giving into the fabric of Apache.”
McClung brings more than 25 years of oil and gas sector human resources experience to this role. She joined Apache as senior manager, Corporate HR & Staffing following the acquisition of Mariner Energy in November 2010 and most recently served as Apache’s director, Human Resources. During the 12 years that she worked at Mariner, she served as manager, director and vice president, Human Resources. McClung previously worked for Bank One, Texas, N.A., holding various positions in the energy lending group, banking operations and human resources. She holds a bachelor’s degree of business administration from Texas State University.
McClung assumes this role following the recent retirement of Obie O’Brien, who served as vice president, Government Affairs and Corporate Outreach. The government affairs function at Apache will be led by Castlen Kennedy, vice president, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs.
