Apollo Education Group Announces Timing of Fiscal 2017 First Quarter Earnings Release

Apollo Education Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: APOL) announced today that it will report its fiscal 2017 first quarter results after market on Monday, January 9, 2017.

On February 7, 2016, the Company entered into a merger agreement with AP VIII Queso Holdings, L.P., an affiliate of Apollo Management VIII, L.P., which is a fund managed by an affiliate of Apollo Global Management, LLC, none of which is affiliated with the Company. At the effective time of the merger, each share of the Company's issued and outstanding Class A and Class B common stock will be converted into the right to receive $10.00 per share in cash. The transaction is subject to financial, operational and customary closing conditions. It is also subject to foreign and domestic regulatory conditions and approvals, including by the U.S. Department of Education, the Higher Learning Commission, and state regulatory and programmatic accreditation bodies.
