Aurelius Appoints Mr. Michael G. Leskovec to its Board of Directors and Grants Stock Options

Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - September 23, 2020) - Aurelius Minerals Inc. (TSXV: AUL) (the "Company" or "Aurelius") is pleased to announce that Mr. Michael G. Leskovec CPA, CA has been appointed as a director of the Company effective September 23, 2020.

Mr. Leskovec is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over twenty years of financial experience with publicly listed companies and capital markets. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Northfield Capital Corporation and Chief Financial Officer for Nighthawk Gold. Prior to this, Mr. Leskovec served as an officer of Gold Eagle Mines Ltd., which was involved in the development of the Bruce Channel deposit in Red Lake, Ontario, and was sold to Goldcorp Inc. for $1.5 billion in 2008. Mr. Leskovec earned his CPA, CA designation while working in the audit and assurance practice for Smith Nixon LLP and has his Honours Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) Degree from Brock University.

In connection with the appointment of Mr. Leskovec, he has been granted stock options to purchase 500,000 common shares of the Company, exercisable for a term of five years at an exercise price of C$0.10 per common share. The options will vest immediately on the date of grant.
