Avanti Communications Group plc (« Avanti »), l'un des principaux fournisseurs de services de transmission de données par satellite en Europe, au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique (« EMEA »), annonce que son satellite HYLAS 4 est bien arrivé en Guyane française pour son lancement en mars 2018.

L'engin spatial, construit par Orbital ATK, a été conditionné puis expédié à son usine de satellites à Dulles (Virginie), aux États-Unis et transporté ensuite en Guyane française où il a été déchargé et acheminé vers les installations de lancement d'Arianespace à Kourou.

HYLAS 4 utilise les toutes dernières technologies satellitaires à haut débit, doublant ainsi la capacité en bande Ka d'Avanti dans la zone EMEA.

Le dernier né de la flotte HYLAS d'Avanti fournira :

  • Des services de backhaul aux opérateurs de réseaux mobiles
  • Des services en gros à haut débit aux FSI
  • La connectivité aux gouvernements (civil et défense)
  • Des services à haut débit aux marché des entreprises
  • Une capacité de remplissage aux opérateurs satellitaires
