AXIS Insurance Appoints Rhonda Lohmar to Vice President, U.S. Programs, for Property and Casualty

AXIS Capital Holdings Limited (“AXIS Capital”) (NYSE:AXS) today announced the appointment of Rhonda Lohmar as Vice President, U.S. Programs, for AXIS Insurance’s Property and Casualty team. In this role, Ms. Lohmar is responsible for oversight of select AXIS Insurance programs in the Property and Casualty sector. Ms. Lohmar reports to John Tatum, Executive Vice President and Head of U.S. Programs, at AXIS Insurance, and is based out of the Company’s Alpharetta, Ga., office.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Tatum said, “Rhonda is a proven talent within the Property and Casualty space, and she brings extensive knowledge of the complex risks associated with these programs. Her combined management experience and product knowledge will help AXIS further develop more advanced offerings for our clients. Additionally, she will help ensure our team continually improves our existing products and services to help our clients manage risks in an environment where constant change is the norm.”

Ms. Lohmar has more than 20 years of experience in the Property and Casualty sector, including roles as a carrier underwriter, branch underwriting director and program manager. She joins AXIS from Dallas-based brokerage MarketScout, where she led the development of the firm’s construction practice and inland marine binding facility. Prior to that, she spent a combined 18 years at CNA, including serving as the company’s Construction Underwriting Director and Branch Underwriting Director for its Littleton, Colo., office. She also worked within Travelers Insurance’s National Practice Division.

Ms. Lohmar received a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado at Denver. She previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress, and was a member of the National Roofing Contractors Association, the National Roofing Legal Resource Center and the Construction Financial Management Association. Ms. Lohmar is a licensed broker in the state of Texas.
