Disclosure of transparency notification

Mechelen, Belgium, 20 June 2023 – Biocartis Group NV (the ‘Company’ or ‘Biocartis’), an innovative molecular diagnostics company (Euronext Brussels: BCART), announces today, in accordance with Article 14, paragraph 1 of the Belgian Act of 2 May 2007 on the disclosure of major shareholdings in issuers of which shares are admitted to trading on a regulated market and laying down miscellaneous provisions (the "Belgian Transparency Act"), that on 19 June 2023 it received a transparency notification indicating that on 12 June 2023 UBS Group AG acquired the control of Credit Suisse Group AG, who (indirectly) held a position in Biocartis.

The notification contains the following information:

• Reason for the notification: Acquisition or disposal of the control of an undertaking that holds a participating interest in an issuer.
• Notification by: A parent undertaking or a controlling person.
• Person subject to the notification requirement: UBS Group AG, Bahnhofstrasse 45, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland.
• Transaction date: 12 June 2023.
• Threshold that is crossed: 3%.
• Denominator: 93,469,933.
• Notified details: UBS Group AG indirectly holds 4.49% of the total number of voting rights in Biocartis.
• Full chain of controlled undertakings through which the holding is effectively being held: The notification sets out that the person subject to the notification obligation is UBS Group AG, who holds the participation indirectly through its subsidiaries, as follows: Credit Suisse AG, indirectly through Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG and Credit Suisse Asset Management International Holding Ltd, indirectly through Credit Suisse Asset Management & Investor Services (Schweiz) Holding AG, indirectly through Credit Suisse Fund Management S.A.
• Additional information: Disclosure triggered due to the legal closing of the merger between UBS Group AG and Credit Suisse Group AG and the aggregation of the relevant interest of both companies as upon closing Credit Suisse Group AG ceased to exist and UBS Group AG was the surviving entity.

Pursuant to the Belgian Transparency Act and the articles of association of the Company, a notification to the Company and the Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority (‘FSMA’) is required by all natural and legal persons in each case where the percentage of voting rights in the Company held by such persons reaches, exceeds or falls below the threshold of 3%, 5%, 10%, and every subsequent multiple of 5%, of the total number of voting rights in the Company.
