Badger Meter Signs Agreement to Acquire Innovative Metering Solutions

Badger Meter, Inc. (NYSE: BMI), a leading global innovator and manufacturer of flow measurement, control and communications solutions, today announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Innovative Metering Solutions (IMS), based in Tampa, Florida. IMS distributes Badger Meter products to municipal water utility customers throughout Florida. Following the acquisition, IMS will do business as “National Meter & Automation,” Badger Meter’s wholly-owned distribution sales organization.

“At Badger Meter, we are always working to deliver the best overall customer experience, and we believe key to that is local sales, technical and operational support services,” said Richard Meeusen, Badger Meter chairman, president and chief executive officer. “The acquisition of IMS is another important step forward for Badger Meter and its utility customers in the southeastern U.S.”

The acquisition is effective April 2, 2018. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
