Benitec Biopharma Inc. Announces Proposed Public Offering

HAYWARD, Calif., Nov. 05, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Benitec Biopharma Inc. (Nasdaq: BNTC) (“Benitec” or the “Company”), a clinical-stage, gene therapy-focused, biotechnology company developing novel genetic medicines based on its proprietary DNA- directed RNA interference (“ddRNAi”) “Silence and Replace” platform, today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of its common stock (or pre-funded warrants to purchase common stock in lieu thereof) and intends to conduct a concurrent registered direct offering of its common stock with long-term investor Suvretta Capital. In addition, the Company intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to a number of additional shares of its common stock equal to 15% of the total number of shares of common stock (and pre-funded warrants to purchase common stock in lieu thereof) sold in the underwritten offering, on the same terms and conditions. The offerings are expected to close on November 7, 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
