Citi Private Bank Recruits New Talent to Seattle Office

Citi Private Bank announced today that Jorge Valcarcel has joined the Seattle team as an Investment Counselor serving ultra-high net worth clients, reporting to Michael Remak, Head of the Western Region North Investments Team. In this capacity, Mr. Valcarcel will be responsible for managing investment relationships and developing long-term investment plans with Seattle-based clients. “Seattle remains an important market for Citi Private Bank, particularly amongst the ultra-high net worth client segment. Jorge brings over a decade of institutional and high net worth portfolio management experience, which he will put to use for our clients in the greater Seattle area by delivering innovative investment strategies,” said Mr. Remak.

Mr. Valcarcel previously developed tax-efficient alternative investment strategies for clients at Parametric Portfolio Associates in Seattle. Prior to working with Parametric, he was a Vice President at Credit Suisse Asset Management in New York and Zurich, managing a large portfolio of alternative investments. He has also served as Chief Investment Officer for a wealth manager in Lima, Peru. Mr. Valcarcel is a graduate of Dartmouth College and a CFA charterholder.

“Citi Private Bank has an extensive global network that is accessible to clients 24/7. This real-time access and open-architecture is not something you see on many other large wealth management platforms and I am looking forward to leveraging Citi’s global reach on behalf of our clients,” said Mr. Valcarcel.

Citi Private Bank advises some of the world's wealthiest, most influential individuals and families. With approximately $390 billion in global assets under management, the franchise includes 48 offices in 16 countries, serving clients across 139 countries. The firm offers clients products and services covering capital markets, managed investments, portfolio management, trust and estate planning, investment finance, banking and aircraft finance, as well as art and sports advisory and finance.
