Cinedigm Launches Digital-First Networks CONtv, DOVE CHANNEL, and DOCURAMA on the Free XUMO OTT Service
Agreement Expands the Company’s Footprint to XUMO’s Base of 30MM-Plus Households Via Its Extensive Multiscreen OTT Distribution Network
SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., Oct. 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- announced the launch of a trio of linear digital-first channels— the fandom-dedicated CONtv, the family friendly values-based DOVE CHANNEL, and the fact-focused DOCURAMA—on the popular, free XUMO streaming television service. CONtv launched today, with DOVE CHANNEL and DOCURAMA’s launch slated for next month. Each channel will feature a VOD component, as well. The agreement further expands the Company’s footprint, making these linear digital-first channels available to over 30 million households across the country through XUMO via nine smart TV integrations, mobile and web. Technology embedded in the television hardware and tuner allows XUMO to enjoy high degrees of both active user engagement and monetization.
XUMO viewers will now be able to easily access exclusive On Demand titles from Cinedigm’s linear channels by clicking the XUMO button incorporated in the remote controls of select VIZIO smart TVs or accessing it through native integrations such as Channel Plus for LG smart TVs and the virtual input available for both Hisense and Sharp smart TVs. The new programming will also be available across the web and mobile devices, via the XUMO app for iOS and Android, and more.
