CI Global Asset Management Funds Recognized for Investment Excellence

(“CI GAM”) announces it has received 34 FundGrade A+® Awards for 2024. The awards recognize the “best of the best” in Canadian investment funds and CI GAM’s winners include 12 mutual funds, five exchange-traded funds and 17 segregated funds.

“We are honoured to once again receive multiple FundGrade A+® Awards, which reflect the strong performance of our funds across a wide range of mandates,” said Marc-André Lewis, President and Chief Investment Officer of CI GAM.

“We seek to deliver consistent and attractive risk-adjusted returns through all economic and market conditions. To achieve this, we rely on our deep experience and a well-defined investment process that emphasizes fundamental research, rigorous portfolio construction and effective risk management.

“I congratulate the investment teams at CI GAM and Munro Partners on these achievements and their dedication to client success,” Mr. Lewis said.

CI GAM’s investment performance was also recognized recently by the LSEG Lipper Fund Awards, with the firm receiving 16 awards for 2024. It was the second consecutive year where CI GAM received more individual LSEG Lipper Fund Awards than any other company in the Canadian industry.

The FundGrade A+® Awards are presented annually by Fundata Canada Inc. to highlight Canadian investment funds that have demonstrated consistent, outstanding risk-adjusted performance throughout an entire calendar year. The 2024 awards were announced last night. CI GAM’s winning mutual funds and ETFs are:

FundGrade A+® is used with permission from Fundata Canada Inc., all rights reserved. The annual FundGrade A+® Awards are presented by Fundata Canada Inc. to recognize the “best of the best” among Canadian investment funds. The FundGrade A+® calculation is supplemental to the monthly FundGrade ratings and is calculated at the end of each calendar year. The FundGrade rating system evaluates funds based on their risk-adjusted performance, measured by Sharpe Ratio, Sortino Ratio, and Information Ratio. The score for each ratio is calculated individually, covering all time periods from 2 to 10 years. The scores are then weighted equally in calculating a monthly FundGrade. The top 10% of funds earn an A Grade; the next 20% of funds earn a B Grade; the next 40% of funds earn a C Grade; the next 20% of funds receive a D Grade; and the lowest 10% of funds receive an E Grade. To be eligible, a fund must have received a FundGrade rating every month in the previous year. The FundGrade A+® uses a GPA-style calculation, where each monthly FundGrade from “A” to “E” receives a score from 4 to 0, respectively. A fund’s average score for the year determines its GPA. Any fund with a GPA of 3.5 or greater is awarded a FundGrade A+® Award. For more information, see . Commissions, trailing commissions, management fees and expenses all may be associated with mutual fund and exchange-traded fund (ETF) investments. Please read the prospectus before investing. The indicated rates of return are the historical annual compound total returns net of fees and expenses payable by the fund (except for figures of one year or less, which are simple total returns) including changes in security value and reinvestment of all distributions and do not take into account sales, redemption, distribution or optional charges or income taxes payable by any securityholder that would have reduced returns. Mutual funds and ETFs are not guaranteed, their values change frequently and past performance may not be repeated. You will usually pay brokerage fees to your dealer if you purchase or sell units of an ETF on recognized Canadian exchanges. If the units are purchased or sold on these Canadian exchanges, investors may pay more than the current net asset value when buying units of the ETF and may receive less than the current net asset value when selling them. Returns of the Index do not represent the ETF’s returns. An investor cannot invest directly in the Index. Performance of the ETF is expected to be lower than the performance of the Index.

CI Liquid Alternative investment funds have the ability to invest in asset classes or use investment strategies that are not permitted for conventional mutual funds. The specific strategies that differentiate these investment funds from conventional fund structure include increased use of derivatives for hedging and non-hedging purposes; increased ability to sell securities short; and the ability to borrow cash to use for investment purposes. While these strategies will be used in accordance with the investment funds' investment objectives and strategies, during certain market conditions they may accelerate the pace at which your investment decreases in value.

The LSEG Lipper Fund Awards, granted annually, highlight funds and fund companies that have excelled in delivering consistently strong risk-adjusted performance relative to their peers. The LSEG Lipper Fund Awards are based on the Lipper Leader for Consistent Return rating, which is an objective, quantitative, risk-adjusted performance measure calculated over 36, 60 and 120 months. The fund with the highest Lipper Leader for Consistent Return (Effective Return) value in each eligible classification wins the LSEG Lipper Fund Award. For more information, see .
