SOME 300 IT AND SAP EXPERTS - LOCATIONS IN ULM, BERLIN AND BARCELONA Pliezhausen, August 16, 2019. DATAGROUP SE (WKN A0JC8S) today entered into a contract to acquire assets and entities of IT Informatik GmbH. Founded in Ulm in 1987, IT Informatik GmbH is specialized in SAP consulting and maintenance, cloud infrastructure as well as software development, and supplies a broad portfolio of SME customers from different industries. In May 2019, the company filed for insolvency under self-administration. With retroactive effect from August 1, 2019, DATAGROUP acquires 100 % of the shares in Mercoline GmbH, 100 % of the shares in IT Digitalizacion 4.0 Industrial Internacional S.L., as well as employees and assets of IT Informatik GmbH. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. "With this acquisition we are able to welcome another 300 motivated experts for SAP, infrastructure and software development", says Max H.-H. Schaber, CEO of DATAGROUP. "The acquired employees fit our existing service portfolio very well. Additionally, we can further improve our regional coverage in Berlin and Ulm", the CEO adds. The unit in Barcelona and its staff of 15 employees, which focus on software developments, will be acquired by DATAGROUP Mobile Solutions AG. This segment bundles the activities around the mobilization of business applications and the development of software robots. "The acquisition provides us with urgently needed employees with SAP and development expertise", says Andreas Baresel, Chief Production Officer of DATAGROUP. "We see a significantly growing demand for digitization and Industry 4.0 from our customers", Dirk Peters, COO, adds. "The migration wave from SAP R3 to S/4 HANA is also growing strongly. This likewise holds true for our customers' willingness to invest in cloud computing and for anything related to the mobilization and automation of business activities."
