Continuing success for DATA MODUL in the third quarter

- Revenue rises to 62.1 million euros in Q3 (+18.0%)

- Order backlog up 9.5% to 133.5 million euros

- EBIT surges 74.2% to 5.9 million euros
 

Munich, November 9, 2018 - For the third quarter DATA MODUL recorded higher key figures versus the same quarter last year, keeping up the excellent business results from preceding quarter. Revenue rose handsomely, up 18.0% from 52.6 million euros one year ago to 62.1 million euros. Orders received increased 15.9% to 64.2 million euros in the third quarter. Order backlog, which increased 9.5% to 133.5 million euros from 121.9 million euros for the same quarter last year, supports the company's solid full-year estimate. EBIT rose to 5.9 million euros on strong business activity, up 74.2% from 3.4 million euros for the third quarter of 2017. EBIT margin followed the strong earnings growth, increasing to 9.4% (previous year: 6.4%).

DATA MODUL AG published its revenue and earnings figures in an ad-hoc release on October 22, 2018, which were significantly higher year-over-year.

DATA MODUL remains on track for success, and the figures for the first nine months of the year are impressive. Business results are projected to remain solid as we lay the groundwork for further growth by systematically executing on our strategy, moving forward on our objectives and making investments in our future. In view of the continuing strong results and chiefly positive economic environment, the DATA MODUL Executive Board expects fiscal year 2018 to turn out excellently.
